Good Ol’ Aussie Damper

This is an Australian bread which has been made for over 100 years. It was made by people camping in the bush by mixing flour and water, but now milk and salt are used for flavor. Enjoy the bread spread with jam. There are many variations to the recipe too, such as pumpkin damper. The dough was traditionally places on a stick and cooked over a fire (much the same way toasted marshmallows. are made)

Mustard and Honey Butter ( for Damper )

I have posted this recipe to go with a cheese and herb damper I make Recipe #284122 This butter is so delicious on this damper and so quick and easy to make. I use Masterfoods honey and wholgrain mustard for this butter.

Macadamia Nut Butter

Many recipes call for it and it’s not readily available outside Australia but you can use this method to create your own peanut butter, pecan butter, brazil nut butter, hazelnut butter, almond butter or any nut butter you like. Am guessing at how much it will yield and listed it twice so RZ would recognize it. After looking at one of Jubes fish recipes, I have wondered if this could be used in savory dishes that have a butter and nut combination??

Berry Nectarine Smoothie

This is a combo my 2 1/2 year old DD came up with. I let her choose what she wanted in the smoothie and just threw it all together. She’s a pretty good cook for a 2 1/2 year old, it turned out well. The addition of spinach leaves was my input merely for extra nutrition, these are optional.

Chocolate Chai

I’m not really a big tea fan but I saw this recipe & just had to try it. I love the blend of spices with the cocoa, it’s really great. I used vanilla tea with mine so mine was more like a chocolate vanilla chai, I suppose you could experiment with things like caramel or even toffee tea too. Recipe is from SFI.
