Hi, I'm Liza Duffy, Founder Of Shared Recipes Club
Shared Recipes Club started with a simple idea: make it easier for real people to find, save, share, plan, and cook from recipes without all the clutter.
I Did Not Just Need Another Recipe Website
I wanted a place where good recipes came first. No endless scrolling before the ingredients. No noisy pages that made cooking feel harder than it needed to be. Just real recipes, shared by real people, with tools that actually help in the kitchen.
I have always had a passion for cooking and baking, and you will find many of my own recipes throughout this site alongside recipes shared by the community. For me, food has always been part creativity, part comfort, part problem-solving, and part memory keeping.
For 30 years, my career was in broadcast radio and television. When that chapter ended, I did what I have always done when life changes shape: I built something new. Today I own four businesses, each one rooted in building, making, growing, serving, and showing up for people in practical ways.
Banba Creations is my web development and digital marketing company, where I build websites, apps, and digital solutions for small businesses. Doggo Nice Day is my dog bakery, creating healthy treats and frozen desserts for pups, often at farmers markets with some of Southern California's happiest dogs. Avo Nice Day grew from my love of farming, bringing locally grown avocados and fresh produce to the community. And Shared Recipes Club has become my biggest passion project.
Like so many people, I found myself juggling deadlines, grocery shopping, meal planning, farmers markets, client projects, family life, and the question that somehow arrives every single day:
What's for dinner?
Cooking Has To Fit Real Bodies, Real Budgets, And Real Schedules
I live with several severe food allergies, and I also have to be mindful of sugar, cholesterol, and fat for my long-term health. Meal planning is not just finding something that looks delicious. It has to be safe, fit my nutrition goals, stay within budget, and still be something I want to cook after a long day.
The more responsibilities I took on, the more I realized I did not just need a recipe collection. I needed a kitchen companion that could remember what I had, help me avoid buying duplicates, build shopping lists, organize recipes, plan meals, calculate nutrition, accommodate allergies, and suggest meals from ingredients already in the kitchen.
I searched everywhere. The answer I kept hearing was, "That can't be done."
I have never been particularly good at accepting that answer.
A Complete Kitchen Companion For Busy Home Cooks
Shared Recipes Club is being built for the parts of cooking that happen before and after the recipe: the planning, saving, shopping, adapting, remembering, preserving, and deciding.
Find Recipes Faster
Browse real recipes without clutter and return to the ones that work for your household.
Plan Around Real Life
Use meal planning, family profiles, dietary notes, allergies, and nutrition estimates together.
Shop With Less Waste
Build grocery lists, track what is already in the pantry, and avoid buying what you already have.
Preserve Family Recipes
Save heirloom recipe cards, handwritten notes, and family favorites in a format you can actually use.
Membership Helps Keep Shared Recipes Club Independent
Shared Recipes Club is proudly independent. When you become a member, you are supporting a small, independently owned business, not a giant corporation with shareholders or investors calling the shots.
That means the future of Shared Recipes Club is shaped by the people who use it every day. Have an idea that would make meal planning easier? Tell me. Need a feature that would save your family time every week? I want to hear it. Many of the tools on my development roadmap started as everyday problems that real people wanted solved.
Your membership does not disappear into a corporate budget. It helps keep the servers running, funds new features, and allows me to continue building the kitchen companion we all wish existed.
From Humble Beginnings
Shared Recipes Club is not being built by a corporation guessing what home cooks need. It is being built by someone who has stood in the grocery aisle trying to stretch a budget, opened the fridge hoping dinner could happen without another trip to the store, and balanced allergies, nutrition, busy schedules, and rising grocery prices while still wanting to put good food on the table.
Every feature comes from those real-life moments. If it helps you save time, waste less food, eat healthier, stay within your budget, organize family meals, or answer "What's for dinner?" a little faster, then it is doing exactly what it was designed to do.
My hope is that Shared Recipes Club becomes the kitchen companion I always wished I had, and one that helps make life a little easier for you, too.
Happy cooking,
Liza Duffy
