Crock Pot Rabbit Stew

Variant on a few other rabbit / crock pot recipes I’ve tried. It makes a hearty one-pot meal for two people. I always like to leave the vegetables nice and chunky. You could try a little less liquid and therefore less flour to thicken, however I found this works well and the additional liquid plays well with the vegetables during cooking.

Marinade for Steak

We’ve been using this marinade for 25 years and never tire of it. The taste is wonderful and, if left overnight, the marinade helps to tenderize the steaks. (If tenderness is a big issue, add a couple of tablespoons of vinegar to the recipe below). Prep time does not include time for marinading.

Spinach, Like You Have Never Had

My good friend Bev cooked this one day at a friends place. She had never been a spinach fan. Whole new way to look at the old “silver beet” which is a brother to the more insipid English spinach. Can be a breakfast dish with a few eggs, luncheon with a sprinkle of cheese, or side dish. Anything a little different is nice for a change 🙂

Perfect Rice Every Time We Cook It!

This “recipe” comes from a 40 year old cook book I inherited when I met Russell! “Entertaining with Kerr”. He was a pompus TV cook in Australia, and this is the only thing I’ve ever cooked out of the book. It’s also the ONLY way I enjoy my rice (and we eat a lot of that!)
