Ingredients

  • 8 carrots, medium
  • 1 Tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of ginger
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 Cup of orange juice
  • 1 Tablespoon of butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare carrots Peel and slice carrots on a bias. Slices should be approximately 1" thick.

  2. Boil Bring salted water to a boil. Add sliced carrots to water and cook covered for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Mix In a small bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger, and orange juice.

  4. Drain Drain carrots and return them to the pot.

  5. Combine Add the mixture from the small bowl and cook over low heat for approximately 3 minutes.

  6. Remove Remove from heat and add butter and stir.
