Ingredients
- 1 pound of beef, ground (or a combination of beef and pork)
- 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers, finely crushed
- 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 egg(s), large
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups of marinara sauce, homemade or store bought (Dad used Ragu)
Instructions
Preheat the Oven Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crushed Ritz crackers, Parmesan cheese, eggs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the Meatballs Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them in a baking dish.
Bake the Meatballs Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
Prepare the Sauce In a saucepan simmer the sauce for 5-10 minutes.
Combine Meatballs and Sauce Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the simmering sauce. Gently coat the meatballs with the sauce.
