Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Log Cabin (maple) syrup
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Sift last two ingredients.

  2. Cream butter and sugar.

  3. Add syrup, flour, and soda.

  4. Mix well.

  5. Divide dough into 8 parts.

  6. Roll into 9 inch logs.

  7. Place logs on cookie pans as far apart as possible.

  8. Bake 300℉ 15 to 30 minutes.

  9. Cut diagonally into one inch pieces while still warm.

  10. Dust with powdered sugar
