Instructions

  1. Prepare the Casserole Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 4-quart casserole dish with butter.
  2. Layer the Ingredients: Place the shredded cabbage and chopped onions (if using) into the prepared casserole dish. Spread evenly.
  3. Add Milk and Breadcrumbs: Pour the evaporated milk over the cabbage mixture. Sprinkle the dry breadcrumbs evenly on top.
  4. Dot with Butter: Distribute the butter pieces across the breadcrumb layer. Sprinkle with paprika.
