Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of organic brown or white rice
- 1 1/2 cups of organic beef or chicken bone broth
- 1 cup of carrot(s)
- 1 cup of peas - can substitute other vegies like green beans, spinach, kale, etc
- 1 cup of raw chicken livers
- 4-5 lbs of chicken breasts or thighs, boneless and skinless. Can alternate proteins like ground turkey, beef, pork, etc
Instructions
Assemble Place broth, rice & vegies in bottom of 8 quart instant pot.
Stir well, making sure rice is completely submerged in liquid and none is on side of pot.
Lay chicken liver on top.
Lay chicken on top in even layers.
Cook Put lid on pot and set to high for 1 hour.
Allow to release naturally for at least 15 minutes or to whenever you remember it.
Shred Remove chicken & livers and shred them them all into pieces.
Add the remainder ingredients and stir well. Any extra liquid will thicken up.
Divide Divide into portions and freeze what you won't use in a few days.
Notes
You can skip the liver every other pot and alternate vegies and proteins as you want. Variety is the key to feeding dogs. If you are using a smaller instant pot, cut the amounts down proportionately.
