Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • zest and juice of one large to medium orange
  • 2 teaspoons of tequila
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Add enough water to the orange juice to make one cup of liquid.

  2. Combine cranberries, orange zest, juice and water, tequila, and sugar in a large pot.

  3. Bring to a slow boil, stirring occasionally.

  4. When the cranberries begin to pop, add the chopped jalapeno cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  5. If the sauce seems a little thick, add a bit more water.

  6. Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl and chill.
