Kartoffelkloesse (german Potato Dumplings)

Just what the name implies – these are German-style potato dumplings, as found everywhere in the South of Germany, Austria and Bohemia. These are traditionally served with any roast with gravy, but most well-known as an accompaniment for a hearty Sauerbraten and red cabbage. Like polenta, second-day leftovers are a treat when sliced into slabs and fried in butter.

Rich Hot Chocolate And Tim Tam Dippers

I got this particular recipe from an Australian cooking show called “Fresh “sponsored by the Australian Women’s Weekly. The show’s Chef Jason Roberts has put this Australian favourite winter drink into a recipe format. To my knowledge this is the first time that this temptation has been put into a recipe format.

Meatless Rissoles

I’m not a vegetarian, but occasionally I cook vegetarian meals for my dad (He hates them, but they’re good for his diabetes!) These are Thai style rissoles, made with black eyed beans, and they’re absolutely delicious!

Chicken and Rice Rissoles

This recipe is a favourite with white rice, however the brown rice adds a more chewy texture and flavour that will please many.

Salmon Rissoles

These Salmon Rissoles are a good standby when unexpected visitors drop by around about dinner time as most of us have a can of slamon in our pantries.
