Variation of a recipe I found on the ABC site. They included a serving suggestion but there are plenty of great sauces on RecipeZaar so I omitted that section. Personally I served with Recipe#174543 but thought I’d leave this as an easy to prepare basic techique you can adapt yourself.
These are my Hubby’s favourite biscuit. These are also great if you replace 50-75g of choc chips with macadamia nuts!
This savory muffin is very crumbly texture. Could be eaten as a snack or put in kids lunch boxes. I used pizza tomato topping sauce for the tomato sauce and it worked well.
This is an old favourite which most Aussie kids have grown up with. While cooking, the mixture separates into a light-as-air lemony sponge on top with a lemon custard sauce below. The secret is not to overwork the mixture – use a light hand! If you have any left over – which is unlikely – it will keep for a couple of days in the refrigerator and can be warmed briefly in the microwave.
A light & healthy snack or side dish – great if you have an abundance of zucchinis. Omit bacon for a vegetarian option.
