Before you start make sure you bread machine has the dough setting. We often have pizza nights and use this recipe for a base, this makes up a crispy pizza base. This recipe uses Australia metric measuring tools – One Australian tablespoon equals 20 mls – Thank you Chef #223169 for the photo idea 😀

This is a very buttery, tasty, soft bread, great with cheese or jam. Good for breakfast. House smells heavenly while baking! Look for Nigella seeds (black caraway seeds) at Middle Eastern grocery stores or if you are lucky enough to have a health food store in your area that sells herbs and spices by the ounce. If not, you can find spices on line. Don’t leave them out because they are crucial to flavor of bread.
Not exactly the crispy texture of a bread stick, a little more tender. Go to your local Middle Eastern Grocery or health food store for the black seeds (Black Nigella). This is a crucial ingredient for the nutty taste. These are great with coffee or tea for breakfast or a snack. Makes alot and they last forever stored in a large plastic container. Armenians like to cook in groups, so it helps to have a partner with this one!
