Saturday Steak

Very easy, do ahead kind of meal. you can bake a few vegetables while its’ cooking. It’s a great family meal, but for adults only you can add garlic or chillies.

Rissoles

This is an old classic Aussie meal. When I was growing up, we always had Rissoles and onion gravy at last once a week. Give it a try and let me if you like this old favourite. Cook time does not allow for cooking the gravy or the vegetables.

Chilled Cantaloupe Soup

Very refreshing and light. Great start to any meal! Melon, lime and mint- oooohhhhh so fresh and inviting! Posted for Zaar’s World Tour 2005- the ingredients are popular in Australia, Asia, Mexico and the SW.

Tomato and Cheese Quesadilla

A very easy to make lunch. If following a gluten free diet ensure gluten-free corn tortillas are used. You can make these in your frypan or flat sandwich toaster (the type that does not cut your bread). You can also add cooked shredded chicken, ham, avocado, onion, capsicums/peppers, herbs, salsa, chilli sauce-basically any ingredients that you would like in a toasted sandwich.

Garlic Asparagus

From my trusty Family Circle Mini Cook Book ‘Favourite Christmas Treats’ I bring you all this recipe! Simple and easy to prepare in no time at all on a busy day such as Christmas Day!
