I had too much fresh thyme left and didn’t know what to do. So after I had made all different kinds of syrups all day, I thought whether a syrup could be made out of thyme and had the idea that thyme would taste great with roses. As I am half-Iranian – I have never seen an Iranian who really measures 😉 – I just went along with the ingredients I still had left, but to create a recipe, I actually did measure what I used 😉 Regarding the rock sugar I used 2 pieces of saffron-rock sugar, each of the size of a lychee. And the reason why I used gelling sugar was that I had not enough normal sugar left, so you may try the recipe using more normal sugar instead of the gelling sugar 🙂
As I cannot eat and drink milk products, I thought I try and make a soy ice cream and voilá! It tastes good and is refreshing!
Very good. Created from Recipe #174346 and Recipe #362534 . This cake can be eaten warm, or at room temperature which we like.
This is a traditional German/Austrian holiday drink that is often enjoyed after a chilly day of skiing. I got this recipe from Else on Allrecipes.com and can’t wait to try it. I modified it slightly based on its reviews.
Tasty rissoles for lovers of Mediterranean ingredients – capsicum, garlic, olives, basil – which I have adapted from a recipe in the November 2005 issue of the ‘Australian Good Taste’ magazine. It was accompanied by a delicious low-fat recipe for potatoes: Recipe #145705. In adapting this recipe, I have suggested making 12 rissoles rather than the 8 in the original recipe. This immediately makes serving sizes more versatile. If you are watching your calories and fat intake, have just ONE rissole and more of the salsa. Posted for the post ZWT, Healthy for the Holidays Challenge! The fat content is probably still a bit on the high side, but remember the calorie and fat content is for the rissoles and the salsa! If you are not interested in making the salsa, make 8 rissoles (instead of 12) to serve 4.
