Posted for ZWT6. Untried by me at the time of posting but I do mean to try this as it sounds like something everyone would enjoy. Found on the web and based on their intro they say it is best to bake these to the point where they are still a bit gooey for best flavors. Hope you enjoy! Great For: Nutritious quick snacks straight from the store cupboard, comfort food, tasty breakfast bars.
Mushy peas are the quintessential side veg to accompany fish & chips in the UK. The traditional recipes use marrowfat peas, but more modern versions take advantage of the ordinary English spring peas you can find in any freezer case. This version was bright, refreshing, and while it does taste different from the marrowfat version, it is still quite good. This is also great served with with lamb. Adapted from Tom Aikens version, as seen on Market Kitchen.

This recipe comes from Mr Falafel on the newsgroup alt.food.vegan and it is a great vegan version of the traditional fish and chips. Tastes pretty good and it is as close as you will get to the experience if you are vegetarian.
