Vegetarian Sausages

  • 4 Beyond Meat/Impossible sausages (or your favorite plant-based brand)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Mashed Potatoes

  • 4 Potato(s), large, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Onion Gravy

  • 1 onion, large, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 cups of broth, vegetarian
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Vegetarian Sausages

Preheat the oven according to the package instructions for the vegetarian sausages. Place the sausages on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake according to the package instructions until golden and cooked through.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. Boil the diced potatoes in a large pot of salted water until fork-tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes and mash them with milk, butter, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy. Adjust the seasonings to taste.

Onion Gravy

  1. In a pan, sauté the sliced onions in butter (or olive oil) over medium heat until caramelized.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to coat evenly.
  3. Gradually whisk in vegetable broth, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer until the gravy thickens.

Assemble

  1. Place a generous serving of mashed potatoes on each plate.
  2. Top with the vegetarian sausages.
  3. Pour the onion gravy over the sausages and mashed potatoes
  4. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Vegetarian Bangers and Mash!

Notes

You can use Bisto Onion Gravy if you don’t want to make your own.
