Uncle Dale’s Ginger Carrots

- 8 carrots, medium
- 1 Tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1 Teaspoon of ginger
- 1/4 Teaspoon of salt
- 1 Teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/4 cup of orange juice
- 1 Tablespoon of butter
Instructions

Prepare carrotsPeel and slice carrots on a bias. Slices should be approximately 1″ thick.

BoilBring salted water to a boil. Add sliced carrots to water and cook covered for 10-15 minutes.

MixIn a small bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger, and orange juice.

DrainDrain carrots and return them to the pot.

CombineAdd the mixture from the small bowl and cook over low heat for approximately 3 minutes.

RemoveRemove from heat and add butter and stir.
