Santy’s Favourite Gooey, Chunky, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
These chewy, chunky, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are sure to be a hit, especially with Santa!

- 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter, unsalted
- 1 cup of peanut butter, creamy
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs, large
- 1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups of flour, all-purpose
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of chocolate chips, mix of dark and milk chocolate
- 1 cup of roasted peanuts, chopped

Preheat the OvenPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and SugarsIn a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and VanillaBeat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined

Combine Dry IngredientsIn a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Wet and Dry MixturesGradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix

Add Chocolate Chips and PeanutsFold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop and ShapeUsing a cookie scoop or tablespoons, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.

BakeBake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still look slightly underdone, but they will continue to set as they cool.

Cool on the Baking SheetAllow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
