Ingredients

  • 1 cup of strawberries, fresh, hulled and halved
  • 8-10 leaves of basil, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon of honey, or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon of lime(s), fresh juice
  • 1 cup of water, cold
  • strawberries, sliced thin for garnish
  • basil, leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, basil leaves, honey or simple syrup, and fresh lime juice.

  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth, creating a vibrant strawberry basil mixture

  3. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp. This step is optional.

  4. Transfer the strawberry basil mixture to a mixing bowl or pitcher. Add cold water and mix well.

  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes

  6. Pour mixture into glasses over ice

  7. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices and basil leaves for an extra burst of flavor and a beautiful presentation.
