Ingredients

  • 1 cup of shortening
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups of oatmeal
  • 1 cup of coconut, shredded or flaked
  • 1 cup of nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup of raisins

Instructions

  1. Boil Mix together shortening, sugar, milk, salt and vanilla. Boil for 2 minutes on medium heat.

  2. Remove from burner, mix in oatmeal, coconut, nuts and raisins until well combined.

  3. Scoop with a tablespoon and drop onto waxed paper.

  4. Set and chill.
