This beer bread is quick to make and has a wonderful, slightly dense texture with a crispy crust. The beer adds a unique flavor, and you can experiment with different types of beer to vary the taste. Goes great with soup or a hearty stew.

Ingredients
- 3 cups of flour
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 12 oz bottle of beer, (choose a beer with flavor, like a pale ale or lager or stout)
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted - for brushing on top
Instructions
Preheat the Oven Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard-sized loaf pan
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard-sized loaf pan In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add Beer Pour the entire bottle of beer into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. The batter will be thick and sticky.
Transfer to Pan Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly. Score the top of the bread lengthwise.
Pour Melted Butter Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the batter in the pan. This will give the bread a golden, buttery crust.
Bake Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool Allow the beer bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
