Brazilian-Style Skirt Steak

Skirt steak is definitely not something you hear of too much as being served by itself (nt in a fajita, that is), but now that I’ve mastered the concept of making it, I love to serve it as the main course for dinner and my husband can’t get enough of it. He loves Brazilian steaks, which I had never attempted to tackle until a co-worker of mine told me the secret to great brazilian meat… SEA SALT! Who would’ve known?!

Brazilian Chicken and Black Beans and Rice

Wonderful main dish ‘salad’ to be served cold, but it’s wonderful eaten warm too. A good Mexican rice and fresh cilantro are musts. So easy – this is my favorite thing to eat for any meal! It would be good for a side dish (omitting the chicken in lieu of grilled chicken) or can be adapted for a vegetarian diet.

True Brazilian Rice

Rice is a part of life in Brazil, it is a part of the culture, and it is something you need to know how to cook when making Brazilian food. Rice in Brazil is seasoned differently to rice in the USA or Europe. Recipe is from A Taste of Brazil blog.

Elizabeth’s Brazilian Seafood Stew

A friend of mine sent me this recipe. It has a nice unusual taste, with lots of seafood. We enjoy this on cold winter nights. With some bread and small tossed salad.
