I’ve been trying to come up with a tofu breakfast that I really like. This uses the mexi-cali herbs and spices we often cooked with in LA. The veggies I used were the ones I had on hand, but diced sweet potato, carrots, nopales (if you have that on hand I envy you!), or a tablespoon or two of corn kernels or black beans would probably also be tasty. I tend to eyeball herbs and spices, so the measurements here are best guestimates– add more or less to your own taste.
Replication of a favourite dish at a local restaurant – Pork can be substituted the Turkey if you prefer. My partner, who is not a Tofu fan, loves this dish.
This goes great with my Sesame Tofu Pot Sticker recipe. or any Potsticker recipe you might have. Sweet and tangy and all around a dipping sauce that will be good for almost any Asian dish your putting together. This one is my twist off of a Food Network Recipe. ENJOY from Chef Travis W Holland
A take on my mom’s beer stew. Seitan can be used instead, but i don’t really like it’s too meaty texture.Inspired by a Belgian stew. Goes especially well with baked potatoes.
Laksa is a Malaysian soup made from laksa flavour spicy curry, coconut cream, noodles, prawns/shrimp, chicken and lots of fresh toppings. This recipe is considered to be a cheat version because it uses laksa paste, however the results are still very yummy. You can vary the ingredients in the soup to your own taste. I had trouble finding fish balls and fried tofu puffs in my region so I replace the balls with extra green prawns/shrimp and fried my own tofu (I cut them into 1 cm by 1 cm cubes).
