Bosanski Lonac – Bosnian Pot

Got this recipe from Lorac on the Eastern European thread. It’s GREAT! Easy to make and relatively inexpensive since it is mostly vegetables. My husband, who is Serbian, loved it! Sorry some of the ingredients are in metric, but I just guessed on some of them as noted in the directions. I’m just guessing on the servings since it made quite a large pot of stew. Enjoy!

Yungueno (Bolivian Cocktail)

Adapted from BoliviaWeb and Time/Life Foods of the World. You can add less sugar if you wish. “Yungueno” means “from the Yungas,” which is a forested area on the Eastern slopes of the Andes. I’ve scaled this down to make fewer servings.

Cream of Endive Soup

This sounds easy and wonderful. I have not tried it yet, but I will keep my eyes open for some endive next time I go to the market.

Belgian Hot Chocolate

This is adapted from a recipe by David Lebowitz. If you can’t find Belgian chocolate use another type, either way it should be high quality. I love Callebaut when I can find it , and rumor has it that Trader Joe’s Pound Plus bars are made by them, they are my back up bar for baking.
