Triple-Fruit Scones

An Irish recipe adapted from Cooking Light! Posted for the Zaar World Tour. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dessert!

Bella’s Whole Wheat Belgian Waffles

A good friend gave me this recipe and it produces a waffle that is more substantial. It’s not super light and fluffy like other recipes. They are more like “Eggo” waffles (in terms of texture, not sweetness). Makes 16 (4 1/2″ X 4″) waffles. When preparing them for freezing, I undercook them slightly, so they don’t burn in the toaster.

Old Fashion Donuts (Basque Rosquillas)

This was my beloved amatxu’s (mom’s in basque) recipe for donuts. We used to eat the all the time during cold winter afternoons with spanish style chocolate (that means ridiculously thick hot chocolate… yum!!!). I just wanted to share her awsome coocking with everybody. They are delicuious and very easy to make. The anissette kick is wonderful!!! Enjoy

Austrian Apricot Cake – Marillenkuchen

When there are apricots in abundance, this cake can be found on every menu, shop and bakery. It’s unbelievably easy, tasty and quick to make. You can also swap plums for apricots. The yoghurt makes the dough extremely light and fluffy.
