Chocolate Chai

I’m not really a big tea fan but I saw this recipe & just had to try it. I love the blend of spices with the cocoa, it’s really great. I used vanilla tea with mine so mine was more like a chocolate vanilla chai, I suppose you could experiment with things like caramel or even toffee tea too. Recipe is from SFI.

Masala Tea (indian Spiced Tea)

This is wonderfully heady and comforting, and perfect with an Indian meal. I’ve made it as directed, but also have a coffeemaker I use just for tea, and most often make it in that. I’ll just put the spices in a coffee filter with the tea, then throw a cardamom pod in each cup when I serve it. It’s great cold too (but I prefer it hot, with a little sugar)

Easy Chai Masala

A cheap homemade mixture for a fast and delicious spiced black tea. I got this spice mix recipe in Jodhpur (India). I use this mix in my office, where we get hot water, but we don’t have the possibility to cook. At home I prefere to boil (5 minutes!) the tea in an mix of water and fresh milk with these spices added. The qualitiy of the ingredients and the spices is relevant!

Indian Masala Chai

There are many versions of this tea. This is a good one from Food & Wine magazine. This would also make lovely gifts. Just package up the dry ingredients and write out the directions!

masala chai (indian spiced tea)

this is a classic indian masala chai. i would venture to say half a billion people are drinking some version of this every morning. and for good reason — it is super delicious!
