Feijoada is the national dish of Brazil. It’s served everywhere in Brazil, from beach-side stands to the finest restaurants. This version captures the spirit of feijoada minus the meat. Chipotle pepper adds a hint of smoky heat.
You can plate this dish over egg noodles or rice if you wish. I prefer it in a bowl with warm corn tortillas which I use as scoops.

Wonderful main dish ‘salad’ to be served cold, but it’s wonderful eaten warm too. A good Mexican rice and fresh cilantro are musts. So easy – this is my favorite thing to eat for any meal! It would be good for a side dish (omitting the chicken in lieu of grilled chicken) or can be adapted for a vegetarian diet.
I love this Crock-Pot chicken recipe for two reasons: one, my family loves it and two, it is so easy to make! I got this recipe from my sister. She has two children of her own, and they love it too! It’s also the best leftovers in the world — if there are any!
