Tesco Cornish Pasties

While visiting family in England we went shopping at Tesco and picked up this recipe. I have never made it but my mom has and it always comes out yummy! Can’t wait to try these myself.

Bulgarian Potatoes

I have not tried this one yet, but it is in the list here soon. I am ALWAYS looking for a new way to fix potatoes (my DH and DSS don’t eat rice). This looks like it might be a nice change of pace.

Poor Man’s Baked Beef in Beer Sauce Belgian Style

This is not a low fat dish, but it is absolutely delicious considering how relatively simple it is to prepare. The slow cooking and the ingredients make the beef come out very tender and with a rich hearty flavor that melts in your mouth. In my opinion this dish is well worth every bit of the work it takes to make it.

Classic French Tarte Au Citron – Fresh Lemon Tart

This is the most requested dessert in our Chambres d’Hotes; I like to make it quite tart and lemony, with creme fraiche, instead of thick double cream – plus I like it to be baked until just set and with a wobble! This is great served with a drizzle of cassis for an elegant finishing touch, plus a sprig of mint. If you are not a great lover of lemons, please reduce the quantity of lemons in the recipe.
