This copycat recipe is for P F Chang’s Temple Long Beans. This simple stir-fry of Chinese long beans in a vegetarian oyster sauce is true to the spirit of Chinese Buddhist cuisine, hence the name, “Temple Long Beans.” Pressed five-spice tofu is sold in the refrigerator cases of many Asian groceries. If you cannot find it or the fragrant Chinese yellow chives, simply double the amount of long beans.

This recipe is from a local Chinese restaurant. The idea is that all of the proteins are different but co-exist in a harmonious relationship, just like a Happy Family. If it’s like my family….food poisoning anyone 🙂
This is something that I do mainly for my father because he really loves Chinese food. If you can’t find Chinese noodles you can substitute Thai noodles. Please don’t use rice noodles because they are too thin and white and will hardly be noticed. Also, the amount of soya sauce is a bit high in this recipe, so feel free to reduce as much as possible. The amount given here will only be a suggestion and really reflects my family’s tastes and no one else’s.
