If you are going to serve these for breakfast, you can prepare the batter the night before and leave it in the refrigerator until morning. No further rising is required before use. I found this on the internet-i made it easier by using the Saco Buttermilk Powder ( which lats a long time in the fridge)-I am posting this for safe keeping. I have tried a lot of waffle recipes and by far this is the best. I made this in the kitchenaid-gently and slowly so as not to overmix. Try real maple syrup- I am biased towards upstate NY maple syrup since my brother lives there ( he actually made syrup from some sugar maples in his backyard)
I found this recipe on the internet. I haven’t tried it yet,but I will if I can find the pearl sugar. Things like that are rare where I live.
