Perfect Rice Every Time We Cook It!

This “recipe” comes from a 40 year old cook book I inherited when I met Russell! “Entertaining with Kerr”. He was a pompus TV cook in Australia, and this is the only thing I’ve ever cooked out of the book. It’s also the ONLY way I enjoy my rice (and we eat a lot of that!)

Steamed Lime-And-Pepper Chicken With Glazed Asparagus

A quick, heathy and simple chicken recipe from Kangaroo Island, Australia. WINE Marry these tart and sweet flavors with the crisp, fruity 1998 Coriole Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc from Australia or the 1998 Cloudy Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.

24k Carrots

Carrots coated with a yummy butter, brown sugar and ginger sauce. I grew up eating these in Texas. Easy, quick and yummy!– GREAT way to get kids to enjoy this veggie! If you like a lot of sauce double the sauce ingredients. I posted this less ‘saucy’ to keep the fat and calories down. The sauce is yummy and great on rice or just on a spoon! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! I am so honored that this simple little recipe of mine has been so well received. Thank you all for your reviews!

Karmir Pilaf – Armenian “Red Rice”

This dish is the definition of comfort food for Iranian-Armenians. Aromatic basmati rice, tender chunks of beef, and fluffy potatoes are cooked together in an unctuous spiced tomato sauce. My version has a little Tex-Mex twist: salsa!

Traditional Algerian Rechta (Noodles) – Family Recipe!

Rechta (pronunced rish-ta) is a dish comprising of flat noodles and a chicken sauce (Marga bil djedj). Many people buy rechta noodles from the market already made – as many women add to their income by selling them. Rechta noodles keep very well in the freezer. You’ll need a pasta machine for this recipe…
