This is based on a recipe from Better Homes and Gardens Australian Diabetic Living Issue 14 2008 with some alterations. I have made this once and due to not making notes while making times to make have been estimated. Like this with a dollop of thick greek vanilla yoghurt.
This is a really nice way to serve beans, the beans retain a nice crispness & the sauce has a subtle lemon flavour which goes nicely with the garlic.
A variant on a recipe I found in a magazine. I was a little disappointed in the original version because the time spent versus the end result wasn’t worth it. I think this was nicer and much, much quicker – so try and see if you agree ;-).
Another quick and easy recipe – how useful they are! – I’m adding in the eleventh hour before the 2005 Let’s Get Fresh and SWAP – Recipe Swap because I couldn’t find anything like it on ZAAR. This is my adaptation of one of Huey’s recipes. Iain Hewitson is an Australian cook, better known as Huey, who runs Tolarno’s restaurant in Melbourne and hosts a popular TV cooking show. He is also the author of several cooking books. If serving for breakfast or brunch, you may want to omit the Cointreau.
OooOOOkkKKKK a little bit of background to this lol My 4 yo son had just collected the eggs and came inside saying I am going to make an egg, apple, and vanilla dessert. I said that won’t work, but you can try anyway. And would you believe it was actually nice!!! So, here it s the recipe that he created 😉
