This World War II recipe was first published by Marmite and is a tasty Vegetarian alternative to regular Rissoles. I’ve rewritten the directions to be a little more precise and suit modern methods to a greater extent. Marmite is a British ‘spread’ and you can obtain it at an international grocery store in the United States. As a WWII ad for Marmite says “stock your larder with a few jars of Marmite now!”. Enjoy 🙂 Please Note: Preparation time includes Rice Cooking time!

This is a Damper which I bake on special occations, I found the recipe at the back of a White Wings flour pack and it is always greatly appreciated when we have visitors who deserve a special treat.
This is another recipe that I found in the recipe book that bought the other day. It looks so good in the picture and I’ll make them one day soon. It would be nice to have with nice and warm soup.
You can prepare the mascarpone & mashed pumpkin up to 6 hours ahead, cover & store in fridge until picking up where you left off. From Australian Good Taste magazine.
