Steve’s Often Copied, Never Duplicated, Furikake Chex Mix

This is a sweet and spicy Asian variation of Chex mix. There are times I have made this by the bucketful, and it still runs out at parties. I often give this out as Christmas or hostess gifts. Be very careful. This party mix is HIGHLY addictive, very dangerous to keep around in big quantities and may result in some weight gain! This recipe is a combination of a few recipes, one from foodgeeks.com and another from beanpaste.blogspot.com. It also has a few of my own personal touches.

Hawaiian Toast

In Germany, you find this on many appetizer menus. I can’t say that I have ever seen one in America, but they sure are tasty. These are especially kid-friendly. I also saw these made with diced chunks of ham and pineapple and shredded cheese on crusty rolls. French bread is really nice for these. Any bread will work as long as it is sturdy enough to hold the toppings.

Hawaiian Grilled Hamburgers

This has oriental flavoring and a pineapple slice, moist and juicy and the flavors are addictive. Now I use turkey burger. Enjoy!

Hawaiian Ham & Swiss Wraps

This sweet, cool wrap sandwich is great for the warm weather; for picnics, lunches, quick dinners. Can also be wrapped and cut into thirds for a small appetizer serving for a shower or party. Also kid friendly for a snack or lunch.
