This is a very tasty recipe for a more economical cut of lamb. It has a beautiful color when finished and looks attractive to serve. Try a bit of Horseradish with them – excellent flavor combo
This is a lemon herb garlic chicken dish which is made in a slow cooker to contain it’s natural flavours. When we served it the meat fell away from the bone. If you wish to increase the celery and carrot you may do so without dramatically change the flavour of the dish. I normally remove the skin off the drumstick, which I recommended with this dish but feel free to leave it on. Everyone enjoyed it in our house hold, hope you will enjoy it.
Lamb and rosemary go together so well. This is a nice dish to serve with mashed potatoes and greens. Very Australian, with style 🙂 You can use the older and fattier lamb, just be sure to skim the fat first. If you use mutton, do it in the crock pot and cook till the meat falls off the bones, cool and skim.
I’ve been making this since my boys could eat solids! and it’s still a favourite. Add carrot, celary, bell pepper if you wish, or tinned tomatoes in place of all or some of the soup. I really just make it with what I have or need to use. I also love the custard on mashed potatoes or pumpkin baked in the oven.
