This classic recipe for honey drops makes a nougat candy using sugar, honey, egg white and almond extract.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract

Instructions

  • Beat
    Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks start to form.
  • Boil
    Gently boil the remaining ingredients until it will spin a hair. About 250-265℉(121-130℃)
  • Combine
    Pour over the egg whites and beat until combined.
  • Drop
    Drop by the spoon full onto parchment paper (lightly oil two spoons for the best result).
