Great Grandma Barbara’s Stuffing
From the Ken Brookes Family Collection – Great Grandma’s stuffing: Moist cubes of bread mixed with celery, egg, onion, butter, and seasoned with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning. Classic comfort, made with love!

Ingredients

- 2 loaves of bread, not dry – cubed
- 2 small bunches of celery, with leaves, diced
- 1 dozen eggs, hard boiled and diced
- 2 onions, diced
- 3 sticks of butter, or margarine – melted
- 4 teaspoons of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 4 teaspoons of poultry seasoning
Instructions

MixMix all dry ingredients and celery by hand at 5:00 AM.

Pour melted butter over the mixture and keep mixing by hand.

StuffFill the bird cavity.

BakePut the remaining mixture in a baking pan. Bake the last hour of roasting time with the turkey.

Stuffing for a 25lb turkey – serves a lot!
