Emma’s Peanut Blossoms Cookies: Time-tested family favorite! Delightful peanut butter cookies topped with a chocolate kiss. A nostalgic treat for all ages.

  • Total Time: 22 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of shortening
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 bag of Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  2. Mix
    Combine all ingredients except for Hershey’s Kisses.
  3. Shape
    Shape into balls
  4. Roll
    Roll into sugar
  5. Bake
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes
  6. Add Kisses
    While cookies are still warm, top each cookie with a candy kiss. Press down firmly until cookies crack around the edges.

    I remember my mom’s cookies from this recipe
