  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup of coffee, freshly brewed
  • 1 ounce of Irish Whiskey, Tullamore Dew preferred
  • 1 sugar cube(s)
  • heavy cream, freshly whipped for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Glass
Warm your glass by rinsing it with hot water. Discard the hot water and wipe dry.
  2. Add Sugar Cube
Place a sugar cube at the bottom of the preheated glass.
  3. Pour Irish Whiskey
Pour the Irish whiskey over the sugar cube. Allow it to soak into the cube for a moment.
  4. Brew Coffee
Brew a cup of strong, hot coffee.
  5. Pour Coffee Over Whiskey and Sugar
Pour the hot coffee over the sugar and whiskey in the glass. Stir gently until the sugar cube dissolves.
  6. Top with Whipped Cream
Float freshly whipped cream on top of the coffee by pouring it over the back of a spoon. Allow the cream to rest on the surface of the coffee.
  7. Serve Immediately
Serve the Irish coffee immediately while it’s warm. The cream should float on top without fully mixing into the coffee.
