Butter Mushroom Stuffing For Turkey
This tried-and-true stuffing recipe has been handed down several generations. Bread cubes, buttery mushrooms, celery for a bit of crunch.

- 2 cups (1lb) of butter
- 2 cups of celery stalks and leaves, chopped
- 1 cup of minced onion
- 1/2 lb (about 3 cups) of fresh sliced mushrooms
- 14 cups of dry bread cubes
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- 1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter
- Add celery, onions and mushrooms.
- Cook until onion is yellow, stirring often.
- Stir in some bread cubes and remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, stir together remaining ingredients.
- Add cooked mixture and lightly toss together.
- Cool before stuffing turkey.
