- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons milk (optional for extra moisture)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Mix the ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, egg, ½ cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined—be careful not to overmix. - Shape the loaf:
Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan or form it into a loaf shape on the baking sheet. - Add the topping:
Spread an even layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf. - Bake:
