A juicy, flavorful meatloaf made with lean turkey, breadcrumbs, and seasonings, topped with ketchup for extra taste.

  • Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons milk (optional for extra moisture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, egg, ½ cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined—be careful not to overmix.
  3. Shape the loaf:
Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan or form it into a loaf shape on the baking sheet.
  4. Add the topping:
Spread an even layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Rest and serve:
Let the meatloaf rest for about 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or your favorite sides.
