Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons dry milk
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In a food processor, grind oats until fine
In a large bowl, blend the eggs and canned pumpkin together. Add the salt, dry milk, and ground oats, mixing well. Dough should be firm. If too claggy, add more ground oats a bit at a time until firm.
Knead the dough by hand, as it will be too stiff for an electric mixer.
Using a small to medium cookie scoop, scoop the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and use a fork to press into shape - you can crisscross a pattern as you would for peanut butter cookies.
Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a floured surface.
Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters or a knife.
Place the biscuits 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes, then flip each biscuit and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Allow the biscuits to cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
Do not omit the salt, it acts as a preservative. These make great gifts for dog owners (caretakers) and stocking stuffers for your doggo!
