  • 2 white cake layers, cooled (9-inch rounds)
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 0.5 (3 ounce) package red gelatin

Instructions

  1. Place the cooled cake layers on a work surface or serving plates.

  2. Poke holes evenly over the tops of the cake layers.

  3. Dissolve the red gelatin in the boiling water.

  4. Pour the gelatin mixture evenly over the cake layers so it seeps into the holes.

  5. Chill until the gelatin is set before serving.
