Instructions

  1. Roll out 2 sheets of puff pastry.

  2. Cut into the shape of a Christmas Tree.

  3. Spread basil pesto on bottom layer of pastry sheet.

  4. Sprinkle parmesan cheese.

  5. Place top layer of tree-shaped pastry sheet down.

  6. Make horizontal tree branch slices.

  7. Twist the tree branches.

  8. Brush egg wash (egg with water) along the tree trunk and base.

  9. Lightly run a fork over tree trunk and base.

  10. Bake according to the boxed direction of the puff pastry.

  11. Decorate the tree with sliced cherry tomatoes, whipped ricotta cheese.

  12. Using star-shaped cookie cutter, make a cheddar cheese star and set on top of the tree.
