Ingredients

  • 6 cups of pear(s), ripe, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon, juice
  • 1 cup of rolled oats, old fashion
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter, cold and cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Combine In a large bowl, combine the sliced pears, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until the pears are evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

  3. Make crumble topping In another bowl, make the crumble topping by combining the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the cold butter pieces and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to incorporate the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the pear mixture in the baking dish.

  4. Bake Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown, and the pears are tender.

  5. Cool Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

  6. Serve Serve the pear crumble warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
