This is my very simple tried and true cranberry relish recipe. Cranberries and orange juice boiled until they pop. Add sugar if you like.

Ingredients

  • 1lb bag of fresh, whole cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cup of orange juice (fresh squeezed or store bought)
  • Sugar - optional
  • Orange zest - optional

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries thoroughly

  2. Boil cranberries and orange juice on medium-low heat until the cranberries pop and sauce bubbles.

  3. Add sugar one tablespoon at a time until the sweetness is to your liking. (The orange juice makes it sweet enough for me but I like it tart)

  4. If using fresh orange juice, zest the peel and sprinkle into the sauce.
