Ingredients

  • 12 ounces beef round steak, trimmed and cut into 4 serving portions
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Coat a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the beef round steak portions and brown on both sides.

  3. Add the roughly chopped stewed tomatoes with their juices.

  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the steak is tender, about 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes total cooking time.

  5. Serve the steak with the tomato sauce spooned over the top.
