  • 1 lb jimmy dean hot and spicy sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained (recipe calls for regular flavor)

  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Add onions; saute until tender.

  3. Stir in flour; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  4. Gradually stir in chicken broth; bring to a boil; stirring frequently, until thickened and smooth.

  5. Stir in milk, cream, thyme, sausage and potatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.

  6. Stir in Parmesan Cheese. Serve hot.
