  • 2 lbs lean hamburger, organic if you can afford it
  • 1 cup Heinz ketchup with balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup medium Pace Picante Sauce
  • 1/2 cup muir glen organic spaghetti sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 -2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 drop mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, I use organic
  • 1 tablespoon k.c. masterpiece barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, shaken on top of the hamburger BEFORE cooking

Instructions

  1. Put hamburger in a 12 inch frying pan or skillet.

  2. Shake salt like you would over a dinner plate - about 1/2 tsp or so.

  3. Brown hamburger on medium or a bit lower if it starts splattering.

  4. Drain the hamburger with a stainless steel strainer.

  5. Return hamburger to pan.

  6. Add all ingredients to the pan and mix well.

  7. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  8. Serve on warm whole wheat toast, bread, biscuits, or hawaiian buns.
