Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pie crust, pre-baked
  • 2 cups of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of corn starch, + 4 tablespoons
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 8 cups of milk
  • 10 egg yolks
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk Mix dry ingredients.

  2. Whisk wet ingredients Whisk together milk with eggs and add to dry mixture

  3. Heat Heat to boil. Cook one minute stirring constantly.

  4. Add butter and vanilla Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.

  5. Pour Pour in pre-cooked crust

  6. Chill Chill in refrigerator until thoroughly chilled and set.
